Founded in 2007, The Local Firm is a Sweden-based fashion jeans brand with a distinctive design code that combines high fashion with innovative jeans design. The Local Firm´s concept is inspired by the European Industrial age. The design concept “A contrast of status” is a cross-wardrobe based thought that combines garments and materials that distinguish themselves by contrasting one another. The line is full-ranged and carries both men’s and women’s garments as well as sunglasses, shoes and other accessories.
The fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989: this moment of liberty and optimism is the inspiration for The Local Firm’s A/W 2013 collection. The club scene in Berlin took off, and ideas and fashion from East and West blended with each other. Elements of military gear and street fashion collide in this collection. The symbol “X” recurs on several garments, symbolising freedom, youth and revolt.
